You can set advanced options every time you create or edit a monitor, under the “Advanced” tab.
These are the options you can set:
Check frequency in seconds: The frequency that Port Monitor will use to perform the check.
Retries before generating an event: How many times Port Monitor will ensure a target is failing before creating a fail event and sending a notification (if there are emails enabled to receive fail event notifications for this target).
Check timeout in seconds: The maximum time in seconds Port Monitor will wait for a successful check. If a check can not be accomplished before the timeout interval, for example because the target is not responding, it will be considered as a time expired fail.
Also, under the “Notifications” tab, you can enable or disable email notifications for each target.
